Monday, July 10, 2023, Pennsylvania reopened the Low-income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) which is designed to help residents maintain access to both drinking and wastewater services. Eligible households can receive a crisis grant for both their drinking water service, as well as one for wastewater service for up to $2,500 each. Crisis situations can include past-due water bills, termination of utility service and having received notice that service will be shut off within the next 60 days.
