Jog for Jude Race 4/23/2022

Monroe Ave between Grove and Green Ridge will be closed to all traffic starting at 4:00Pm on Saturday. The race will kick off at 6:30pm so residents can expect road closures and delays between 6:30 and 7:30.

Shortly after the race ends Monroe Ave will once again be reopened. There will be family events including rides in the back of the community center during and after the race, Fireworks will kick off at 8:15.

 

DESCRIPTION

The eighth annual Jog for Jude, held in memory of Jude Zayac who suddenly and tragically passed away on July 23rd, 2014 from S.I.D.S. (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), is the area’s only 5k race raising awareness and funds for S.I.D.S. research.

To celebrate our return to a live, in-person event, we have switched things up this year. This year’s race will be an evening run on Saturday and will be capped off by some celebratory fireworks.

Race Date: Saturday, April 23 @ 6:30pm

***Participants who sign up on or before April 6th will receive a tri-blend race T-shirt.

Race Location: Dunmore Community Center

Races: 5K Run/Walk or 1 Mile Walk

Awards:  The Overall Male and Female Champions will receive trophies and prizes, along with medals awarded to the top male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Additional prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male/female finishers ages 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.

This is a Rain or Shine event! All registrations are final and non-refundable. If for any reason you are unable to submit a time for the event, your registration fee will be considered a donation to the charity.
