Travel Advisory June 5, 2019 Concrete Replacement project 1-81 North, Lackawanna County Update Dunmore — The project is currently setting up a long term pattern on 1-81 North Bound for the center lane work starting on Monday, June 4. 2019. A traffic spilt will be installed at mile marker 185.3 (Central Scranton Expressway area) to mile marker 186.5. (Dunmore. Drinker St area) Traffic will be split to the left Of 1-81 North Bound only. Traffic split to the right is for 1-81 North Bound., 1-84 East Bound., Route 0006 East Bound and the Drinker street Exit Ramp This patern will be in place through July 4. The work Will take place during day hours. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling in the area,

Resurfacing 18.3 miles of roads for about $7.4 million, including the Drinker Turnpike and Drinker Street in Dunmore; Garfield Avenue in Olyphant; Morgan Highway in Scranton; Keyser Avenue in Taylor; and Old Winola Road in South Abington Twp. and Clarks Summit. The project is expected to be completed by Dec. 16.
